The occupation of master saddler is one of the oldest and most traditional of crafts. Diversity, creativity and taking pleasure in working with leather, a natural product, motivate us anew each day to give our best. The love of detail, skilled craftsmanship and a broad range of expertise are the trademarks of our tradition rich company. Our master and journeyman saddlers endeavour to further this tradition.
Perfect craftsmanship with precise manufacturing down to the last detail requires well thought out planning. High quality buckles and straw-filled collars of the best core leather bear testament to our distinguished craftsmanship. Each of our saddlery products is a unique and bespoke item, made according to our customers’ wishes. Coordination between the customer and workshop is constantly possible.
Alongside festive harnesses for St Leonard’s and other festival processions, our company also manufactures working horse harnesses for daily use, for example; for logging in the forest or for draft horses in the tourist industry.
Today the traditional craftsman’s occupations, not only that of saddler, face great competition from mass production from abroad. We from the Saddlery Lindner believe that the long-lasting satisfaction, which comes from a sound, high quality, handcrafted product, is the convincing argument here. We guarantee high quality workmanship and high quality products.
Our collars are filled with straw and are crafted from the best core leather. They are made to measure for each individual horse to prevent any breathing restriction or pressure marks. An exact fitting collar combines the best possible draft result with the best consideration for the horse’s health and wellbeing!
The horse collar is still the most proven harness to date.
We manufacture our English harnesses in the traditional manner. This harness is also known as a "Stadtanspannung" (town harness) which corresponds in style to the extremely elegant English harness.
The manufacturing technique is based on a built collar (built, not filled!) with rye straw. The harness saddle pads are hand-filled with deer hair. The harness is then finished off with individually fitted blinkers.
We manufacture anatomically formed breastplate harnesses for equestrian draft sport activities. All breastplate harnesses are manufactured using a special seamless padding technique. This increases durability as the seamless padding prevents sweat from penetrating the leather and making it hard and brittle.
